Dome Roof Replacement in Goshen, Ohio
Challenge
This property was a dome style house located in Goshen, Ohio. The homeowner stated they had missing shingles. This roof was approximately 21 years old, and the homeowner was concerned it would start leaking, due to the curvature of the roof decking.
Solution
The homeowner chose to call Klaus Roofing Systems of Cincinnati, due to the many good experiences our previous customers had spoke of in our review section. Once we were able to inspect the roof, our inspector went over the process from start to finish, and put the customers mind at ease. Our solution to this problem had to be different than most roofs. We used a special shingle from IKO. Their Nordic line is a shingle designed to bend around a curved surface, without compromising the integrity of the shingle. The homeowner had no idea how her problem would be fixed when Klaus Roofing showed up that day. By the end of the meeting, she could not wait to get the process started. She chose our 50 year no leak warranty package, and our yard sign went up! The crew started by stripping the old shingles, underlayment, and inspecting all wood decking underneath. After verification that all decking was good, the crew installed our Sealoron deck tape over all seams in plywood, as an extra barrier to the elements. Next came our Sealoron ice/water and our Velora underlayment. Once all of that was complete, the Nordic shingles were installed. Now the homeowners have a beautiful roof to cover this beautiful home, for even longer than the first roof did!
